Tommy Haas and Bernard Tomic have withdrawn from the Winston-Salem Open field for precautionary health reasons.

Haas is currently ranked No. 13 in the world, while Tomic, who had initially accepted a wild card, is ranked No. 42. Both players decided to take the week off from competition to ensure that they are fully healthy for the US Open.

The Winston-Salem Open still boasts eight of the Top 30 players in the world in its field, headlined by two-time defending champion and Triad-native John Isner as well as top seed and No. 6 ranked Tomas Berdych.

The tournament draw ceremony will take place tonight with the draw released to the public shortly afterwards.
