Winston-Salem Open, WilsonMcGuire Pair for 2015 Event Marketing

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem Open, an ATP World Tour 250 event and part of the
Emirates Airline US Open Series, has hired WilsonMcGuire Creative as its Agency of Record for the 2015
event. The tournament’s management team will work closely with WilsonMcGuire on strategy, media
planning, social media and real time marketing.


WilsonMcGuire has been charged with increasing awareness and driving ticket sales to the event. Since its inception in 2012, the Winston-Salem Open has seen solid ticket sales, but would like to increase
attendance at the weekday matches.

“We are making some exciting changes to the tournament this year so we feel it’s a good time for a
marketing push to let people know about it. WilsonMcGuire has been pivotal in increasing ticket sales for
other events -- like the U.S. Open Championships and the Wyndham Championship,” says Bill Oakes,
tournament director. “We want to attract more fans from the Greensboro, Raleigh and Charlotte areas.
And we think WilsonMcGuire can help us do that.”

take place from August 22-29, 2015, with qualifying set for August 22. The tournament will be the final
