The doubles draw of the Winston-Salem Open has reached its climax: the semifinals are officially set, as the top-seeded pair clinched their spot earlier this week.

Top-seeded Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski were the first pair to book their place. Salisbury, a six-time Grand Slam champion, and Skupski, the 2023 Wimbledon doubles winner and former world No. 1, advanced with victories earlier in the week including Luca Pow / Dhakshineswar Suresh and Fernando Romboli / John-Patrick Smith.

Joining them are the No. 3 seeds Francisco Cabral and Lucas Miedler, who continued their strong summer form by defeating Jackson Withrow and Jan ZieliƄski in the quarterfinals.

The third semifinal slot belongs to Rafael Matos and Marcelo Melo, who overcame the experienced Australian team of Matthew Ebden and John Peers in the quarterfinals. For Melo, a former world No. 1 in doubles, the run is another reminder of his longevity at the top level.

Rounding out the quartet are Yuki Bhambri and Michael Venus, who earned their place with a quarterfinal victory over Rohan Bopanna and Romain Arneodo. Venus, a Grand Slam doubles champion, brings major-stage experience to the pairing.
