Petr Nouza and Neil Oberleitner captured their first tour-level crown together Saturday at the Winston-Salem Open, where they stunned fourth seeds Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic 7-5, 6-4 in the championship match.

Nouza and Oberleitner had already earned an upset win in the semi-finals Friday, when they defeated third seeds Lucas Miedler and Marc Polmans to reach their first tour-level final as a team.

Facing the fourth seeds in the championship match, the Czech-Austrian duo again came through, winning 90 per cent (27/30) of its first-serve points and fending off two of the three break points it faced, according to Infosys ATP Stats, to seal the victory.

"It feels really good to win the first title," Nouza said. "We had a rough couple of weeks, but we pulled it together and we came through with a very good and a strong week, Throughout the week, we played great tennis with a great attitude. It means a lot and we are very happy."

Nouza and Oberleitner made their tour-level debut as a team at the ATP Challenger event in Calgiari in May, where the pair reached the championship match. With their one-hour, 27-minute final triumph in Winston-Salem, the Czech-Austrian duo improved to 8-6 this season, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.

Krajicek and Mektic were trying to win their second tour-level title of the season, having triumphed earlier this year in Delray Beach.
