Serbia’s Hamad Medjedovic advances to the Quarterfinals following his 6-4, 6-2 upset over No. 4 Seed Diallo. Medjedovic has yet to drop a set in the tournament.

In his opener, the 22-year-old defeated France’s Arthur Rinderknech 6–3, 7–6(9). He followed with another strong performance against Britain’s Jacob Fearnley, winning 6–4, 7–6(2).

Medjedovic is the 2023 Next Generation ATP Finals champion, defeating Arthur Fils in a five-set final. In April 2025, he achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 61. As of August 2025, he is ranked No. 65. Medjedovic has been training with Novak Djokovic at the Novak Tennis Centre in Belgrade. He made his ATP Tour breakthrough in 2025, reaching the final at the Open 13 Provence in Marseille, where he recorded his first Top 10 win by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals.

Medjedovic will face No. 9 Seed Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the Quarterfinals on Thursday.
