Wake Forest Duo Pow & Suresh Back in Action at Winston-Salem Open Tonight

Excitement is building at the Winston-Salem Open as Wake Forest’s standout doubles pair, Luca Pow and Dhakshineswar “DK” Suresh Ekambaram, prepare for their opening match tonight against No. 1 seeded team Salisbury and Skupski.

The duo returns to the doubles main draw after last year’s impressive run that saw them storm into the semifinals.

Pow and Suresh received a wild card into the 2025 doubles main draw, a direct result of their previous success on home courts. Last year, they had made history: entering the tournament in 2024, they not only claimed their first ATP main-draw win by defeating the No.6 seeds Andrés Molteni and Ariel Behar, but went on to beat Gonzalo Escobar and Aleksandr Nedovyesov in the quarterfinals, before finally falling in the semifinals.

Tonight’s match is part of the tournament’s doubles schedule, which began on Monday, August 18, and runs through Saturday, August 23.
