The Winston-Salem Open unveiled its 2025 player entry list today, announcing a talented roster of ATP players set to battle for the title at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex from August 16-23. The initial 2025 entry list features 12 current Top 50 ranked players and three former Winston-Salem Open champions, including last year’s champion Lorenzo Sonego of Italy.
21-year-old Frenchman Arthur Fils headlines as the list’s top ranked player. The World No. 21 and current French No. 1 is set to take the top seed at the Winston-Salem Open, aiming to join an elite group of former Winston-Salem Open champions. American star Sebastian Korda has also entered the field as he prepares to make a second career appearance in Winston-Salem after reaching the quarterfinal in his tournament debut in 2023.
Multiple former Winston-Salem champions have entered the 2025 field looking to claim glory at the site of their past successes. In addition to the 2024 champion Sonego, other past winners appearing in this year’s field include former Top 10 playersand Grand Slam semifinalist Roberto Bautista Agut (2017) of Spain, as well as 7x ATP Tour title winner Sebastian Baez (2023).
“This is shaping up to be one of our most exciting fields in tournament history,” said Tournament Director Jeff Ryan. “From young talents to proven veterans, there is great balance with this field and fans can get excited about some thrilling matchups in store for August.”
American fans can look forward to having a number of home country hopefuls to root for. In addition to Korda, 2024 Winston-Salem Open Finalist Alex Michelsen has entered the field looking to build off an impressive performance at last year’s event. 2024 ATP Next Gen finalist Learner Tien has also entered the field as he searches for his first career Tour title. Former Wake Forest star and 2025 NCAA champion Stefan Dostanic will also compete as the young American was previously awarded a wild card to make his ATP Tour main draw debut.
Other Top 50 players in the field include Gabriel Diallo, Alexandre Muller, Nuno Borges, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Pedro Martinez, Miomir Kecmanovic, Luciano Darderi, and Jaume Munar.

The initial list contains 35 direct entries and is subject to change, with more spots to be filled in the coming weeks with wild cards. The Winston-Salem Open features a 48-player singles draw and begins Saturday, August 16 with qualifying rounds. The tournament will conclude Saturday, August 23 with the singles and doubles finals.
