Wake Forest’s DK Suresh Completes Stunning Run To Make ATP Singles Debut

DK Suresh of Wake Forest national champion stardom completed an epic run to reach his debut singles appearance in the Winston-Salem Open main draw. Suresh overcame a first set deficit against former Top 20 star Alejandro Tabilo to complete the run and ink his spot in the main draw.

Next up for Suresh will be a showdown with Argentina’s Mariano Navone on Monday.

Australia’s Aleksandar Vukic showed why he entered the qualifying draw as the No. 1 seed, looking flawless in his two matches to reach the main draw. The former University of Illinois star will meet up against another Wake Forest standout in Stefan Dostanic to kick off the night session on Stadium court.

Former Stanford Star Basavareddy Set For Winston-Salem Open Debut

Rising American talent Nishesh Basavareddy also looked strong in his two Winston-Salem Open qualifying matches, and he is set to make his tournament main draw debut on Monday against Belgium’s Raphael Collignon.

Junior Talent Darwin Blanch Wins Three-Set Thriller

Fresh off a huge win at the USTA 18 National Championships that earned him a 2025 US Open main draw wild card, 17-year-old Darwin Blanch pulled off a thrilling come-from-behind win in the second round of qualifying at Winston-Salem over Valentin Royer.

With the win, Blanch will make his ATP 250 main draw debut and kick it off against former Top 15 player Borna Coric in Monday’s first match of the day on Stadium court.
